The Orkla is considered as one of the best salmon rivers in the whole Norway. The long river basin flowing into large Trondheim fjord brings in enough water for the Atlantic salmon fare. 88 km of great fishing pools, fine accessibility and the varied profile of the river make the Orkla River popular and famous all around the world.
Exquisite, but rather tough salmon „ginfizz“ is served by the crystal-clear waters of the Eira. It originates in Ekesdalvatnet Lake and empties after a few miles down in Eresfjord. This short river is overflowing with legends of salmons of fabulous size. However, the extreme „moodiness“ of the river makes people either condemn it, or love it for life. Huge sea salmons can be found in the lower, as well as the upper reaches of the river.
The Driva River is the synonym for swiftness, fierceness and power. Besides salmon fishing, in the course of last few years the river has become famous with the increasing numbers of sea trouts, including the record-breaking sizes above 10kg. This wins the Driva the 1st place in the number of caught sea trouts among all Norwegian sea-trout regions. The spacious river offers really great conditions even for effective spinning.
